A Chattanooga Computer Repair Technician is a person who repairs and maintains computers and servers in Chattanooga, TN. The technician's responsibilities may extend to include building or configuring new hardware, installing and updating software packages, and creating and maintaining computer networks. Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians work in a variety of settings, encompassing both the public and private sectors. Due to the relative newness of the profession in our area, institutions offer certificate and degree programs designed to prepare new Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians, but Chattanooga Computer Repairs frequently ARE NOT performed by experienced and certified Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians. Typically these pseudo-techs have little or no formal training or experience in the field. A Chattanooga Computer Repair Technician might work in a corporate information technology department, a call center, or in retail computer sales. A public sector technician might work in the military, national security or law enforcement communities, health or public safety field, or an educational institution. Despite the vast variety of work environments, all experienced Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians perform similar physical and investigative processes, including technical support. Experienced Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians might specialize in fields such as data recovery, system administration, or information systems. Some Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians are self-employed or own a firm like North Shore PC that provides services in a regional area. North Shore PC concentrates on helping businesses in the Chattanooga and surrounding areas. Other technicians are subcontracted as freelancers or consultants. North Shore PC utilizes subcontracted labor to perform tasks as required to meet customer demand. This type of technician ranges from basic certification carrier to, to those who work professionally in the field and carry more advanced certifications such as MCSE, CISCO or Security related certifications. The repair of problems can range from a minor setting that is incorrect, to spyware, viruses, and as far as needing to replace hardware or repair an operating system such as Windows versions provided by Microsoft. Some Chattanooga Computer Repair Technicians provide on-site services usually at an hourly rate. Others can provide services off-site, where the client can drop off at the repair shop. Some have pickup and drop off services for convenience. Some may also take back old equipment for recycling (In the EU, this is required under WEEE rules). North Shore PC does all of that! We also carry $1,000,000+ in insurance at all times. When supporting clients locally or providing nationwide rollout support services to clients such American Eagle & McDonald’s you bet your life we do! When supporting the everyday “Jo or Joe” trying to build a business here in Chattanooga, they get the same support, knowledge and protection! Does your technician have you covered? |

Many companies see IT as a black box that generates significant costs. Few business managers know exactly what they are paying for and why their outlays keep rising. By making these costs transparent, the IT organization can fundamentally change the way business units consume IT resources, drive down total enterprise IT costs, and focus on IT spending that delivers real business value. The CIO who leads this change can usher in a new era of strategic IT management--and true partnership with the business. Once managers understand what they are paying for, their focus quickly changes.  IT cost transparency is a key component of what we call the "next-generation infrastructure." This new approach to managing infrastructure involves discarding the traditional build-to-order mindset in favor of creating standard, reusable IT "products," such as storage and telephone service. Cost transparency provides the business with three things: a catalog of IT products that specifies features, prices and service levels; bills showing the infrastructure assets consumed by these products and the cost of their consumption; and management reports that roll up total costs by product type and business unit. |
